Waterfall Garden
The Waterfall Garden, which overlooks Christiana Creek, offers a tranquil and enclosed landscaped space for intimate weddings and events. Its centerpiece is a turquoise glass pavilion, which forms the perfect backdrop for capturing precious moments like wedding vows.

English Cottage Garden
The English Cottage Garden is a charming 19th century old-world-style garden that borders the pond. This popular garden space is characterized by its informal design, texture contrast, and mixed flower beds and herbs. The English Cottage Garden features intermixed areas of turf, stone, and brick pathways, allowing for event setups with or without aisles.

Event Garden
The Event Garden is our most extenstive outdoor venue, perfect for hosting large gatherings and events. This space is surrounded by lush garden beds and the sounds of Christiana Creek, offering a picturesque setting for weddings, parties, and corporate functions. The open turf allows for customizable spaces and amenities with multiple kinds of tent, table, and chair set-ups.

Island Garden
While only a mere acre in size, Renowned designer Sadafumi Uchiyama designed this Japanese-inspired Island Garden composed of three islands. All Island Garden rentals include both the grassy lower area and the Wood pavilion. Chairs can face east, west, with or without an aisle. Tents can only be set up on turf.

Celebration Garden
The Celebration Garden is an excellent venue for large events. Guests can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Whether it’s a romantic dinner under the stars or a captivating concert by the pond, the large open turf allows multiple set-up options with tents, tables, and chairs.

Smaller Gardens
Our smaller garden rentals offer options for more private and intimate event spaces! Guests can select from various gardens with unique features, such as the Japanese Bridge in the Lotus Creek Garden. Available spaces: Bridge Patio, Lotus Creek Garden, Council Ring, Peace Garden.

Woodland Pavilion
This grand Woodland Pavilion is a perfect venue for large outdoor events. This enables guests to enjoy the outdoor gardens while remaining undercover. Around 300 guests can be seated undercover with extra seating on either side in the grassy areas. Due to the enclosed space, this bigger rental can feel more private.

Great Hall and Event Rooms
Our spacious Indoor Event Space allows for ample seating and beautiful views of the Gardens over the pond. Our two Event Rooms and attached Great Hall are perfect for year-round parties, events and even conferences.

Wellfield Botanic Gardens is a location rental site only and does not offer event planning services, rental equipment or catering services. Rental equipment not offered through Wellfield, must be arranged with Molly Schrader, Event Specialist at Burns Rent-Alls Special Events, our exclusive rental partner.
Wellfield Botanic Gardens reserves the right to refuse reservations based on intended site use or other circumstances, including availability. All outside vendors must be licensed, insured and approved by Wellfield prior to your scheduled event.
